Dante Virtual Soundcheck playback issue via Virtual Soundcard and record with Adobe Audition to run some virtual soundchecks. If its digital distortion it could be buffer settings (latency) set to low. try increasing this in
Audio latency is an issue that can cause problems when recording audio through a computer system. But despite these issues, it can be minimized so the problem is no longer noticeable. I used to get this problem quite often when I was using an old and slow computer in the studio, but it’s an area that in general has become easier to handle as computers have become quicker and more powerful .
As you increase your buffer size, you do a couple of things: 1 reduce overall CPU usage 2 increase latency. As you reduce your buffer size, you I guess this should really be on the driver, but seeing as it apparently doesn’t always work, it would be nice if Audition had it as a user-definable setting too (“Ignore reported latency and use these figures instead”) which you could calibrate by doing a manual round - trip test with an impulse or drum sound or something, recording from one track to another (which I might try later, actually, to see if I can refine my 30ms figure) Toggling Fade Controls in Multitrack Mode. Hi, I have a little problem with Adobe Audition I want to fix. For my weekly podcast I like to select everything and stretch it down to save on edit time. The only problem is that like in the picture below the button for starting a fade and stretching are very close together.

I have tried tweaking some settings in OBS (the streaming program), as well as a few in audition. My question is, what type of hardware or improvements could I make to improve performance for my output in audition. I've been having major latency issues while trying to record a multitrack song in Adobe audition. one proposed solution was to download an ASIO driver. Downloaded ASIO4ALL, installed properly, it was identified by premiere and should be all good.
Adobe Audition doesn’t have all of the bells and whistles of a Pro Tools or some of the other programs that are out now, but it still has plenty more then enough effects to get going and started. I have used Adobe Audition for about 5 years off and on. We used it when I work an internship at a radio station.
Its like its buffering or latency. That give me hope.

I recorded myself tapping along to Adboe Audition's metronome and upon playback I discovered that the tapping is out of sync with the metronome to varrying degrees as playback progresses.. It would be good to eliminate the possibility that the problem is your tapping rather than the latency. Record the metronome directly, not your tapping. Favorite Answer There is no way to completely get rid of the lag if you are monitoring the software audio output - that is because it takes the computer time to process the audio.

I understand that MME seems to be notoriously slower than ASIO, however I cannot configure the output to be a virtual audio cable when using ASIO in Adobe Audition on Microsoft Windows . latency depends on a number of things, but primarily it is determined by your audio hardware driver buffer size. As you increase your buffer size, you do a couple of things: 1 reduce overall CPU usage 2 increase latency.
